The Prince of Darkness: Lelouch vi Britannia

Okay, the anime topic of today is Code Geass. And of course the infamous Lelouch Lamperouge. Yes, who can resist he's amazing prince looking charming and witty, intelligent and cunning, charismatic and passionate. Yea, okay I admit Lelouch is very bishie too =/. Yea, but somehow he didn't quite took my attention it's not that I hate Lelouch, he's cool! Did you know he was rank No.1 for favourite anime character plus in MyAnimeList.net too. Wow, he seems popular, really popular towards the girls that is....

And then there's a debate about if Lelouch was alive after his death in the last episode. Of course, his death took a big blow among everyone. But some claim his dead some even claim his alive and then now the debate war has started. There are some prove:

1. The plan for Zero Requiem has been in effect since Suzaku, Lelouch and C.C. were all in C's world. When Lelouch spoke to C.C. before she went out to fight Kallen, she tells him to return and smile for her. He responds by stating that it's a promise. Can't smile if you're dead right? well maybe you could lolol

2. Of course, the title R2 And "Code Geass" do lead to the obvious arguments of: R.R and (Charles' Code + C.C.'s given Geass = Code Geass).

3. The fact that of all places C.C. is happily riding the back of a wagon she probably shouldnt be on otherwise, and talking loud enough that the driver can hear her. She then reflects on her previous statement that the power of kings will isolate the user... well now she realizes that among other things, that does not apply to Lelouch.

4. She looks "up" (back towards the front of the cart) and raises her voice a bit when she says, "Right, Lelouch?"

5. Jeremiah Gottwald gives the order to not fire and then basically provides a foothold for the new Zero (Suzaku) to get up to Lelouch. As we all know Jeremiah aka Orange has always been on the inside concerning Geass (the entire matter not just that it exists) by him talking to V.V. and having something very special (geass canceller). Why would V.V. give this to Jeremiah if he thought it would be a problem for Charles?

6. Lelouch told Suzaku that he would still be able to kill him. Well he did kill him, far as things on the surface are concerned. Jeremiah jumps up to the top of the carriage/float and calls a hasty retreat. Therefore no one has time to see Lelouch revive. Seriously, up to this point Lelouch has lied to basically everyone he has encountered. Why would he start telling the truth now? Also Suzaku does not have knowledge about how the code is transferred.

7. The area where Charles's hand, and likewise his symbol of having a Code touched Lelouch, is never and has never been shown since then. Evidently the mark does not always have to be on the forehead, thanks to it being on Charles' hand so why can it not be Lelouch's neck?

8. Jeremiah is happy at the end of the episode. When he was confronted with the death of Lelouch's mother (a duty that was obviously important to him) he went and did something to show his dedication/sorrow (joining the Purist Faction).

9. Nunally touches Lelouch's hand and the infamous Memory Trip occurs. The effect is nearly identical to when Lelouch touched C.C.'s hand back in the cave before Kallen came to pick him up. What could be the explanation for this besides that Lelouch does in fact have a code and normal(ish) people get that... almost "resistance" reaction?

This is one of the explanation. But good news for Code Geass fans, a new special is coming... YAY!!!

ALL HAIL LELOUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!!!!

In other news, this caught my attention

New edit: Kitakubo tweeted that he is an advisor of the anime not the director. Judging from his reaction, there is a breakdown of communication between GONZO and Kitakubo.

Kitakubo's tweet on Sep 1st said:

Oh, I have to work on an unenjoyable job! Malaysian government wants to produce animation, and they asked a Japanese company to produce one because they don't have the know-how. The Japanese company has outsourced 22 episodes out of 26 to Chinese studios and the budget for one episode is two million yen!

note: the standard budget for one Japanese anime episode is 9 - 20 million yen.

That clearly doesn't sound good at all.
