Vampire Diaries 4 - Memorial
2nd episode of Vampire Diaries Season 4 continues with Elena's new life as a vampire. She has to learn to fight the blood lust and learn how to control it. And Stefan decided to teach Elena to drink animal blood to control her craving towards human blood. Damon unfortunately doesn't think that way and tells Stefan that she's not going to drink animal blood forever.
Stefan and Elena were at the forest hunting animal blood, Elena couldn't digest the animal blood at vomits it out. Meanwhile, Sheriff Liz interrogates Damon regarding the death of Pastor Young believing that it was his doing but Damon isn't in charge of it.
Then enters a new character, Connor Jordan, a vampire hunter and by the looks of it, he isn't just an average normal vampire hunter. While, Mystic Falls is preparing the memorial for the death of Pastor Young and the other Founding Family, daughter of Pastor Young, April Young returns to Mystic Fall, whom Elena used to babysit when she was very young and from her explanation she and her father were not in good terms.
When Tyler Lockwood was attacked, they have to investigate from Bonnie who is still grieving over her fault and her Gramm's "death" again, realizing that the weapon that isn't witch nor magic related.
Elena is still struggling with her bloodlust and secretly ask for Damon's help and both of them did something unexpected probably considered a taboo..... drinking blood from each other, which is considered very very intimate. Delena fans are so sure to be excited that part. Things got worse for Elena that she can't consume blood from blood bag as well, because she has a doppelganger blood which makes things difficult. Elena has to drink from the vein.
Connor use April as a bait to lure the vampires into the trap during the memorial ceremony. Elena almost lost it to the blood lust but manages to control it.
At the end of the episode, the group decided to grief over the death of their love ones, in which that Damon doesn't care about. He heads for the cemetery and talks to Alaric at his grave about how stupid the group are doing trying to forget their sorrows and grief that it tends to stay that way no matter what it does, also mentioning that he lost the girl he loved.
The last part of the episode caught me to tears when Alaric came as a spirit watching over Damon and what he said, added with a "I miss you too, buddy". In other words, Damon is also trying to say that he misses Alaric too.....
