Over the Rainbow
This song is very very famous, how famous you may ask? Well, try putting as famous even my grandma knows this song, yes, that's how famous is the song. I always heard this song especially the first part of the song I always catch which goes like this, 'Somewhere over the rainbow way up there/high...,' that's all, but I never wanted to listen the full song until not too long ago, last year.
The song was originally sung by Judy Garland and it has became 'her' song since then. This song was featured for the movie The Wizard of Oz (the 1939 version film) and since then it has became a hit!
This song is a real classic. And it's sad that not many people this day ever listened to this song, through there's been many cover versions of this song made. And this song also for some reason can get me emotionally sad, hearing it makes me sad, through I didn't cry but it sure does.
Can you believe she can actually have that singing voice during that time? Simply amazingly stunning! This song was also sung at the end of the 83rd Academy Awards. Again, the legend lives!
And there's another version of this song, the present one, which is also my favourite, unlike the original this song is featured on most movies, I watched and it always plays along. But this version combines OVer the Rainbow with What A Wonderful World but who cares? It's still a good song! I'm sure you know this version too!
